Who We Are

Health Care In Christ is an inter-denominational organisation serving the Lord Jesus Christ and the Body of Christ in health care.

Dr Ken Curry, National Director
I am an addiction medicine specialist working in government hospitals and in private practice. I am also involved in teaching medical students. My vision is to see Jesus Christ as Lord of health care. Jesus is working among health workers around the world to extend His Kingdom in health care.

Mrs Roslyn Curry, Director, National Administrator
I am excited about being a part of God’s plan for health care in this nation and the world. I was formerly a physiotherapist and long to see the Lord Jesus Christ honoured and acknowledged as Lord of health care.

Ian Kilminster, Director
In the 40 years that I have worked as a pharmacist in a public hospital, the Lord gave me grace to care & pray for the members of my department. I would ask the Holy Spirit to give me opportunities to show His love and grace to patients & colleagues.

When walking into the hospital in the morning, I would lift up the Name of Jesus & invite in the Holy Spirit. As I entered my assigned ward I would silently lift up each patient & staff member. I saw His grace poured out faithfully and would encourage you to look to Him each day – His mercies are new every morning!

If you want to know more please contact us. We invite you to be a part of
the online prayer room to pray for revival & transformation in health care.

Statement of Faith

We believe in the essential beliefs of Christianity, including the following:

The Holy Scriptures are inspired of God, the divinely appointed authority in matters of faith and life.

One God, eternally existent in three persons, Father, Son & Holy Spirit.

Our Lord Jesus Christ, God manifest in the flesh, His virgin birth, His sinless human life, His divine miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension, His mediatorial work, and His personal return in power and glory.

The salvation, through the death of the Lord Jesus Christ, of lost and sinful man, now justified by faith, and through regeneration by the Holy Spirit.

The indwelling and empowering of the believers by the Holy Spirit, enabling them to live Godly lives and manifest the gifts and fruit of the Spirit.

The unity of the Spirit of all true believers in the body of Christ, the church.

Where We Have Come From

Health Care In Christ began in NSW, Australia in 1979 with a prophetic mandate to address the isolation that Christian health care workers felt.

From the beginning, we understood that God needed to heal the healers so that they could be fit vessels for His purposes. This included renewing our mindsets and dealing with our dualistic worldview which separates ‘secular & spiritual’, ‘natural & supernatural’, ‘science & religion’ and is opposed to the Biblical Worldview.

We also saw that Christians working in health care are called to do the ‘good works’, God has prepared for them to do. When we serve Him in our work, we are bringing the Kingdom of God into our workplace.

We now see that through transformation of our lives and practices the Lord is laying the necessary foundations to influence the health system in Godly ways to bring transformation; to see His glory in health care.

We now have a prophetic mandate to bring the Ark of God back into health care. We are looking for the Lord to bring revival and transformation to health care.

Where We Are Going

Seeing His Glory

We see the Lord Jesus Christ acknowledged as Lord and healer.

We see a health care system transformed by the power & presence of the Lord Jesus Christ.

We see a great harvest and people coming to healing, restoration and wholeness through the love & mercy of the Lord Jesus Christ.

We see health care workers who understand their calling in Christ; who are committed to Him in all aspects of their work and practice; who find and fulfil God’s purposes for them in their workplace & profession and who receive revelatory knowledge & advance & lead in their area of health care.

We see health care influencing societies in a Godly way and bringing transformation to nations and peoples.
